Dr André Ivanoff is a Professor in the School of Social Work at Columbia University. She is also the Director of Columbia University’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy Training Program and Lab.

She has over 30 years of clinical experience in mental health and criminal justice settings. She has conducted research with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the New York City Police Department and The University of Washington Medical Centre. Her research focuses on the implementation of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), particularly its training and application in forensic settings

Dr Ivanoff serves as Chair of the Board of Directors at the Linehan Institute, and she is President of Behavioural Tech, the training company founded by Marsha Linehan. In addition, she is on the Board of Directors of the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification.

Dr Ivanoff has been involved in the implementation of DBT in Latin America, Turkey, Egypt and Russia. In addition to her over 100 academic papers and conference presentations, she has contributed over 30 chapters to books, largely focused on the clinical practice of DBT.
